We need your help with a wonderful initiative. The Massachusetts March of Dimes will be working with Bel Scriba, a local business that creates beautiful custom and one-of-a-kind blankets (Binkeez), burp clothes (Burpeez), and other fabulous creations (check them out at http://www.belscriba.com/). Bel Scriba has generously offered to provide the materials to make 350 isolette covers for the eight level three NICU’s in Massachusetts. There will be multiple fabric designs coordinating with the March of Dimes colors, with a March of Dimes logo exclusively embroidered in purple on each isolette cover. This is where you come in: we have set up four dates at Ready Set Sew in Grafton, MA for volunteers to come and help sew the isolette covers. Our first date occurred on Tuesday, August 23rd from 5:00-8:00 PM and was a great success. The next Sew date is Saturday, September 10th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The last two dates are to be scheduled at a later time. We would love to see you at one or all of these days. The isolette covers will be delivered to the NICU’s in November for Prematurity Awareness Month so we have a lot of sewing to d o between now and then!
Please let me know if you would like to help: epostl@marchofdimes.com. You do not need to be handy with a thread and needle :)
