On November 16th,
approximately 70 March of Dimes volunteers from around Massachusetts came
together to deliver thank you baskets to our eight level 3 NICU’s and one of
our level 2 NICU’s. These baskets were delivered to thank the NICU doctors,
nurses and staff in honor of World Prematurity Day. Brigham and Women’s
Hospital, Tufts Floating Hospital for Children, Beth Israel Medical Center,
Boston Children’s Hospital, Mass General Hospital, South Shore Hospital,
Baystate Medical Center, UMass Memorial Hospital and Lowell General Hospital
were the recipients of wonderful baskets filled with treats and items for the
staff and even NICU families, generously donated by the volunteers. The
staff also received Papa Gino’s pizza delivery donated by the March of Dimes as
our way of saying thank you. The NICU staff were extremely grateful for the
visits and the baskets. The March of Dimes is so thankful for our amazing
volunteers who gave their time to come together for this special day.
